Al Ain Academy is a successful, twice rated ‘Band A’ school by the Abu Dhabi Education Council, where young people are valued, encouraged to take part and to achieve their best. Our facilities are excellent and we are proud of what we have achieved during past year to ensure that the standard of teaching and learning matches the quality of the facilities.
We follow the British National Curriculum and, as such, our provision is varied and strives to help every student to develop their interests and skills. Our extra-curricular programme encourages involvement and engagement - with a large variety of clubs and activities taking place either at lunchtime, after school or at weekends. Developing leadership skills is central to both our curricular and extra-curricular offer.
The vision for the future of our School is clear: we want every
individual, regardless of their ability, interest or need to achieve
their potential and to grow into responsible young adults. Some of our
students have talents in sports, others in the arts, some in sciences,
some in languages. There will be individuals who want to debate issues
or to take responsibility for others, to be leaders or to work within a
team. I see it as our purpose to work closely with parents and carers to
give students as many opportunities as we can, within and beyond the
classroom, to find out where their abilities, gifts and talents lie and
to develop them as a result of both experience and challenge. We have
high expectations of ourselves and of our students. Responsibility and
self-discipline are valued. Every student is encouraged to wear their
school uniform with pride and to recognize that the future reputation of
the school is in all of our hands – whatever we do or say, both in and
out of school.
